Nick Main

Recognized by Ad Age, Creativity Magazine, The Clios, The One Show and the National ADDYs just to name a few, Nick has made a career of developing brands through creativity. During his 20+ years in advertising, he has had nearly every role possible in a creative agency from Mail Room Guy to Creative Director to Agency Owner. And Nick's help with The Kansas City Royals, The University of Nebraska's Athletic Department and the Nego Leagues Baseball Museum and The Kansas City Chiefs banding will be fully utilized in this effort.

Jocelyn Monroe

Jocelyn Monroe is the VP, Head of Marketing for the National Women’s Soccer League Kansas City Current, the organization leading the construction of the first stadium designed specifically for a women’s sports team.  She will lead the team’s brand marketing and promotional efforts. 

Before joining the team in 2023, Jocelyn was an Executive in the Brand Consulting Group at leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) based in the Los Angeles office.  There she worked with many of the nation’s leading brands helping design and execute marketing strategies that leverage the cultural power of sports and entertainment for greater consumer connectivity.   She also worked closely with CAA HR and served as a liaison to create thriving relationships and a pipeline for HBCU students to the organization.

Over the course of her career, Monroe has worked with leading brands such as Coca-Cola, Google, Nissan, AT&T, INFINITI, Aflac and Li-Ning Sports Goods, the first China-owned and operated athletic brand to partner with the NBA. Her experience includes leading brand partnership campaigns with the NBA, NCAA and March Madness, the FAST & FURIOUS franchise, NBC’S The Voice, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Live Nation, and numerous notable celebrity and influencer talent personalities.

Monroe began her career at Madison Square Garden working in marketing and in-arena game promotions.  She served as Group Director for Integrated Marketing Programs & Strategy at OMD, where she had an integral role in developing Nissan’s Red Thumb Campaign, which was a 2015 Think LA Social Media Campaign of the Year finalist. Prior to OMD, Monroe worked in entertainment marketing at The Coca-Cola Company, creating entertainment and lifestyle marketing opportunities for the company’s portfolio of still brands including vitaminwater, smartwater, ZICO, POWERADE, Dasani, and all other tea and juice brands.

Monroe graduated from Albany State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and earned her Masters at North Carolina State University.

She served on the Board of Directors of the Minerva Foundation of Los Angeles.

Dani Welniak

Dani Welniak is the Vice President of Communications for the Kansas City Current of the NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League). She joined the team in July of 2022. Prior to that, she spent six years as the Sports Director at KCTV5 (CBS) in Kansas City, hosting the Locker Room Show on KSMO-TV.

Welniak started her news career in Dodge City, KS covering high school sports for Catch It Kansas. After two years, she moved up to Wichita’s main station, KWCH 12, before moving to Kansas City in 2016 to join KCTV5, where she became the Sports Director in 2017. She was also the sideline analyst for the Chiefs Radio Network from 2016 through 2019. 

She made history in 2019 as a color analyst for the Cure Bowl when she became part of the first all-female radio crew to call a Division I college football bowl game. 

Welniak is a retired wide receiver for the Dallas Diamonds professional football team. During her time on the team, she was the 2007 Rookie of the Year, a 2008 Women’s Super Bowl champion, a three-time All-Pro member and a member of the gold medal-winning USA national team in 2010. In 2022 she earned an Emmy Award for her sports anchoring and producing.

Welniak graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2011 with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism.

Dani and her husband, Brad, have a 4-year-old daughter, Cameron. They love to travel, spend time with family, play sports, workout, rock climb and compete in extreme obstacle course races.
